I’m super critical when it comes to my pictures. Composition, lighting, technique and most of this criticism is negative.
I was considering tossing the first picture because it didn’t meet my “standards”, but for just a moment I put my instinct aside and looked, really looked closely if there was something to convince me to do otherwise. Soon I realized I really wanted to keep it. This picture captured (poorly, but it did) the spirit, the innocence, the happiness but most importantly, the beauty of being a child and enjoying simple things in life.
Looking at it makes me happy.
1. It’s just a ride (I’m calling this picture a keeper and I’ll lie to myself thinking is “editorial”)

3. Love her. Oh, and husband really works out that arm.
